It's Official....

It's official & I am so excited... I am going to open my open family clothing resale & consignment store on MARCH 1st, 2008 in Elkins in the shopping mall next to Dollar General & Elk Horn... This has been something I have prayed about for many years and thru the Grace of God and the love & support of my family & friends I am seeing this prayer answered.

Whew...I find myself crawling into bed around 3:30 a.m. everyone morning... I can't sleep... my mind is full of ideas I want to do in the store... DIVA Club, Grandma & Grandpa Tuesday, School Employee Discounts, Fundraisers, Lay-a-ways... I think I am on my 3rd notebook of things I have thought of, suggestions etc... I am loving every minute of it.

I have been trying to get the word out to everyone I know about SIMPLY THREADS.... I stopped by a consignment store in Lowell the other day and a lady had taken some things in the store but that owner didn't take but I few of her things...I rushed out to my car...grabbed one of my brochures and business cards....when she came out and got into her car I went over & knocked on her window..introduced myself & told her about Simply Threads... She agreed to send her stuff with me to put in my store on consignment.... Talk about OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE!! Thankfully she didn't think I was nuts and put her van in gear and speed off. God definately had his hands in it.

I am working on getting a Mary Kay representative to come and do make up for anyone that buys their prom dress or semi formal at our store on the night of their event. I have calls into 2 ladies... if you know of a make up artist that might be interested... or a hairstylist that might want to do up do's ... please give them my number 871-9146.

If you have any gently used or new clothing that you would like to consign at the store ... give me a call.... the consignor makes 50% & 50% goes to Simply Threads. Earn cash for your stash!!!
